Located just minutes from Mount Snow and Wilmington, our meticulously restored mansion and barn provide a one-of-a-kind setting for couples who dream of a truly authentic Vermont celebration. The mansion is the former home of the “Heather sisters”, Mary and Celia, who purchased a hardworking dairy farm in the 1890’s and decided to construct a country cottage on the property to live in, they called it Chez Nous. After many owners throughout the 20th century, the property was left to deterioration.

Today, after researching the colorful history of Chez Nous and an ambitious cellar-to-rafter restoration, the mansion stands proudly with a 3,000 sq.ft. barn erected behind the mansion for many events to come. The Mincarelli’s have succeeded with their vision to provide a unique experience to those who want an extra special venue for weddings or events.

Our barn is able to accommodate 150-180 people and has a large attached covered porch, chandelier lighting and a balcony for the perfect photo op!

The Groom and Groomsmen can get ready or just hang out and play foosball in the comfortable, private loft room above the barn.

Chez Nous is located just 3 miles from downtown Wilmington, Vermont, just minutes from Mount Snow, fabulous shops and great restaurants. Vermont’s natural beauty surrounds the property with the “Heather Brook”, walking paths into the woods and beautiful star lit skies at night.

The Mansion

Rehearsal dinners are ideal on the large wrap around, covered porch of the mansion with seating for up to 40 people. Choose from the mansion’s large kitchen/dining room area or the conservatory with outdoor patio for hosting your Sunday Brunch. You will have use of the entire property for the weekend.

The mansion has 6 spacious and beautifully decorated bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms.

The Heather Suite

The Heather Suite is the largest of the bedrooms with an antique Victorian mantel and gas fireplace, sitting area and a king sized bed. The bed is iron scroll work, custom, Italian designed four poster with sheer drapery. The Suite has a large spa like bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub, aromatherapy, chromotherapy, hydrotherapy and air jets.

The King's Cross Room

The Kings Cross bedroom is a large room with large windows and lots of natural light. Beautifully decorated, with a luxurious English style four poster queen sized bed. The Kings Cross bedroom has its own private bathroom, beautifully tiled with a jacuzzi tub and shower.

The Glenview Room

The Glenview bedroom has a great view of the barn and back lawn. A gorgeous queen sized, four poster, walnut canopy, bed. This bedroom shares a bathroom with the “Park Gate” bedroom.

The Redding Room

The Redding bedroom is a large room, beautifully decorated with a king sized four poster pineapple bed, seating area and private bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The Park Gate Room

The Park Gate bedroom is a quiet and ever so comfortable room facing the back lawn. With a queen sized bed and wonderful views of the barn and patio area. This bedroom shares a bathroom with the “Glenview” bedroom.

The Fair Isle Room

The Fair Isle bedroom is light and bright with large windows and an ornate king sized bed. Such a cozy room, inviting you to relax and read a book or sneak a quick nap. Fair Isle’s private bathroom has a beautifully tiled, walk-in shower.

Chez Nous was the perfect setting for our fall wedding — the outdoor space is absolutely stunning, which includes a modern barn and a fantastically renovated mansion, and everywhere you look feels special and inviting. John and Cheryl, the owners, are a joy to work with. They made booking and planning so easy and were always accommodating, kind, and responsive throughout the entire process. One of the things we liked is that Chez Nous doesn’t require you to use specific vendors, which gave us freedom to make the day our own — for example, we brought in a DJ from Massachusetts who was recommended by a friend. The venue offers endless opportunities to personalize your celebration, from two outdoor ceremony areas, the first floor of the mansion, the wraparound porch, and even a cozy backyard fire pit. The barn offers a stunning backdrop and we used it’s interior space for our reception after the wedding. The six bedrooms in the main house were a huge bonus — most of our wedding party stayed on-site with us, which made the weekend feel like one big celebration. There’s also a charming cottage just a short three-minute walk away where our parents stayed comfortably. Chez Nous truly exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s a one-of-a-kind venue that perfectly blends beauty, flexibility, and warmth — we couldn’t have imagined a better place to celebrate our wedding.

The mansion was a beautiful spot for the girls to get ready and gave lots of great photo spots. Also a cool cocktail hour space. The ceremony outside was beautiful and rustic, and the barn was cozy and so nice for the reception. As a vendor, I appreciated a separate space to rest & eat.

And after the ceremony, we ended up having the drinks and appetizers in the mansion which was perfect. The reception barn was roomy and fantastic. John and Cheryl were wonderful hosts. The venue is beautiful and contains everything needed to host a party. John was extremely helpful and even provided some extra serving spoons that were needed at the last second. I highly recommend the Chez Nous ‘s barn. I did not see the mansion but have heard it is absolutely beautiful inside.

Sara and I recently held our wedding at Chez Nous this past weekend. Chez Nous is not like any other venue out there. The property is absolutely stunning. It makes you feel like you are in your own corner of New England. From the warmly lit Barn to the gorgeous Farm House, each piece of the property offers a different story to tell and offers endless options for your special event. We got the pleasure of working closely with the owners John and Cheryl as well. They always made sure to keep in touch, answered our endless amounts of questions in a timely manner and gave us advice along the way. A Dream Wedding Venue with Charm, Elegance, and Warm Hospitality Our daughter's wedding at Chez Nous was absolutely magical, and we couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this beautiful, historic property had been restored with incredible care and love by John and Cheryl. The charm of the 1896 mansion paired with the stunning, glamorous barn provided an ideal mix of elegance and rustic beauty that we had envisioned for the celebration. The grounds are expansive and beautifully landscaped, offering multiple picture-perfect settings for our ceremony and photos. We especially loved hosting the cocktail hour on the stone patio with the cozy wood-burning fireplace, which added warmth and ambiance to the evening. Inside, the barn was elegantly appointed with chandeliers, wooden beams, and ample space for our guests to dine, dance, and celebrate into the night. Our family and close friends stayed comfortably in the mansion's luxurious rooms, making it feel like a home away from home. John and Cheryl went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, helping us bring our dream wedding to life. We couldn’t recommend Chez Nous more highly for anyone looking to create lasting memories in a truly unique setting!
